James Seal

James Alton Seal, a resident of Bogalusa, 70, born on Sept. 17, 1945, in Bogalusa, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ann Moore Seal of Bogalusa; his daughter and son-in-law, Nikki Seal Wheat (Scott) of Bogalusa; two grandaughters, Kaleigh Alizabeth Boone and Kinslee AnnaLeise Boone of Bogalusa; his sister, Juanita Seal Stringer of Angie; four brothers, Vernon Seal (Barbara) of Covington, Lloyd Seal (Linda) of Angie, Wilson Seal (Valerie) of Angie, and Milton Seal of Isabel; two sisters-in-law, Wanda Moore Seal and Lynn Scardino Seal; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Talmadge Seal and Polly Olivia Singley Seal; his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dolphus Seal; his maternal grandparents, John and Olivia Duncan Singley; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, George and Elvie Moore; and three brothers. Norman Seal, Alvin Seal and Earl Seal.
Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Sunday, Sept. 4, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.
Visitation will continue at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, Sept. 5, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.
The funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Bill Moon and Clyde Woodward Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery, with full military graveside services by the Magic City American Legion Post#24.
