Nathan Bush

Nathan W. Bush, 73, passed away Sept. 2, 2016, at Our Lady of the Angels Medical Center.

A native of Bogalusa, Nathan served in the U.S. Army reserve, graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University, and was an accomplished banker for many years. After retiring from the banking industry, Nathan enjoyed farming, traveling, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Nate was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Zoie Bush; his wife of 45 years, Carol Cassidy Bush; his sister and brother-in-law, Catherine B. and Ronald Perry; and a nephew, Ronnie Perry.

He is survived by his twin brother, Tommy Bush, and a younger brother, Herbert Bush; his children, Michael Patton Bush (Allison) and Jennifer Cassidy Bush (Jeffrey) Primes; his grandchildren, Gage and Kaedea Primes, Weston Bush, Jeremy and Jathan Bryant; and many loved nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 6, at Annunciation Catholic Church with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. until Mass at 11 a.m. A procession followed with interment in Ponemah Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the St. Jude’s Research Hospital.
