Reginald Morrow

Reginald Anthony “Chucky” Morrow, a resident of Bogalusa, departed this life on Sept. 19, 2016.

Reginald was born to Reginald Anthony Holden and Mrs. Kim Marie Morrow on Jan. 10, 1993 in New Orleans.

He began his education in New Orleans. He attended Valena C. Jones Elementary School in New Orleans, and Bogalusa Middle and High School. While in high school he was a member of the Jr. ROTC. He also attended the Northshore Technical College YouthBuild program. He was employed with McDonald’s. He was a former employee of Main Street Grocery.

In 2011, Reginald was baptized at the Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Raymond E. Mims Sr. He was a member of the Sunday school and choir. He enjoyed studying and hearing the Word of God preached. He was a mild-mannered and respectful young man who loved his family.

Reginald leaves precious memories with a devoted mother, Kim Marie Morrow and father, Reginald Anthony Holden; one sister, Shantel Morrow Gillett (Ryan); an adopted mother, Ursula Scott and adopted sisters and brothers, Rozzie Scott, Andrew Scott, Teara Scott, Harry Scott and Akeila Buie; an extended family member, Sally Slade; a godchild/niece, Valeria Scott, whom he loved dearly; a special friend/brother, Alfonso Thomas; and a host of cousins and friends who loved him so much.

He will be dearly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, the late Idella Williams Morrow and the late John Griffith; and his paternal grandparents, the late Naion Mary Roberts Holden and the late Frank Holden.

A visitation will be at the Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church on Saturday, Oct. 1, from noon until 2 p.m. The funeral service will be Saturday, Oct. 1, at 2 p.m. at the Greater Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1104 Poplas St. in Bogalusa. Dr. Raymond E. Mims, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Bogalusa Cemetery.
