Sister Julie Ann Peters Harron, 62, of Independence, and a former resident of Angie, departed this life on Oct. 6, 2016, at North Oaks Medical Center of Hammond.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Albert E. Harron; her father, Alex Peters; five brothers, Kelly Peters, Elmer Tiggle Jr., Alex Ray Peters, James Brown and Ronald Peters.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: two sons, Tyrone (Stephanie) Peters of Independence, and Odyssey (Fairetta) Peters of Columbia, Miss.; two sons she raised as her own, Ulysses (Tamika) Henry of Milwaukee, Wis., and Odyssus Peterson of Milwaukee; her strong loving mother, Jeffie Dee Brown Peters of Angie; five sisters, Alice Faye (Willie) Alexander of Angie, Flora Jean (Thomas) Ezell of Columbia, Demetra Warren of Columbia, Penny Sue (Earl) Jackson of Sumrall, Miss., and Mary Dee Anderson of Fayetteville, N.C.; four brothers, Donell (Sabrina) Peters of Angie, Burnell Peters of Bogalusa, Johnny (Sherry) Mikell of Columbia, and the Rev. Charles Magee of Baton Rouge; one uncle, Marshall (Zella) Peters of Moss Point, Miss.; two aunts, Jessie Magee and Ora Lee Peters of Angie; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Oct. 15, at Ford Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Sandy Hook, Miss., from 10 a.m. until noon, followed by the funeral service at noon, with the Rev. Archie McGowan, pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in the Ford Chapel Cemetery in Sandy Hook.
