Thelma Marie Penton Rollinson passed away on Wednesday morning, Oct. 19, 2016, at 9:50 a.m., in Resthaven nursing home in Bogalusa, at the age of 64.

She was born March 4, 1952, to the proud parents, William Harold Penton and Edith Quave Penton. She was raised in Bush and Talisheek, along with her three sisters and three brothers. She was a mother of four, aunt of many, grandmother of eight and had one great-grandchild.

Thelma lived in Missouri and in Minnesota, but Louisiana has always been home to her. She married her true love in 1998 but sadly lost him in 2002.

She went home to join her husband, Donald B. Rollinson; her parents, William Harold Penton and Edith Quave Penton; two sons, Jimmy Barnett Laseter and Gary Arnell Laseter Jr.; two sisters and three brothers, Fannie Lee Simonson, William Harold Penton Jr, Joann Thomas, Charles Ray Penton, Edward Earl Penton; and many more of her family and friends.

She left behind two children, Kelly Dale Laseter and Cynthia Elaine Laseter Martin; eight grandchildren, Megan Parks, James Laseter Stone, Kevin Martin, Levi Hayman, Courtney Litzenberger, Justin Martin, Hali Martin and Serenity Hope Martin; one great-grandchild, Olivia Lopez; one sister, Debra Penton Aime; and many more family and friends.

In life, Thelma Marie Penton Rollinson battled with depression and pain. Now in death, nothing can hurt her anymore. Mom, we love you and our lives will not be the same without you here. Watch over us until we see you again.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later time at Grantham Cemetery in Bush. Arrangements are entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home of Covington.
