The sweet angel of mercy moved in quietly on Dec. 13, 2016, and bore the spirit of David Earl “Honey” Martin at his residence at the age of 54.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 20, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at First Church of God in Christ, located at 612 E. Fifth St. in Bogalusa, followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Bishop Howard Quillens, pastor, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bogalusa Cemetery.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Mabel Davis Martin of Texas; three sons, David Martin Jr. of Bogalusa, Darious El’Tro Harry of Baton Rouge, and Daramis Eron Harry of Texas; three step-children; nine siblings, Dorothy Butler (Willie), Beulah Moore, Syreetha M. Walters, all of Avondale, Alice Mildred Henry (Nathanial) of Kenner, Reba Jackson (Otis), Kelvan Martin (Jamie) of Elk Grove, Calif., Ernest Martin (Gilda) of Varnado, Rose M. Martin (Henry), and Michael Martin (Denise) of Bogalusa; two grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by: a wife, Judy Walker; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Early Leroy (Carrie Lena) Martin; and a brother, Jessie L. Martin Sr.
