Take care during this frigid weekend

Temperatures this weekend are expected to be below freezing for a good part of Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
Please take care of your loved ones and your neighbors. Make sure they have blankets, heaters and whatever else they may need to get through the cold snap. In addition, please remember to bring in pets or make sure they have adequate heat and shelter. We don’t often get temperatures this cold in our area, so it is especially important that everyone takes appropriate precautions.
Finally, make sure your own home is ready. Saturday morning is expected to be sunny but chilly, so if need be, take a few hours to put plastic over your windows, plug up drafts and leave those faucets dripping all night. Even if the frozen pipes don’t burst, a frozen pipe means the house may not have water for an extended period of time.
Other than that, snuggle up with a book or a movie and cup of something warm and wait. We’re expected to get back into the 70s and 80s next week.
