Ben’s Ford defeats Central Private School
Ben’s Ford Christian School’s C.J. McClelland had a monster game, as the Eagles were victorious over Central Private School, 47-39, in a District 5AAA road game held Tuesday, Jan. 24.
McClelland put up a strong double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds. He also made a steal and blocked a shot.
Jeremiah Slocum scored 11 points, grabbed six rebounds, dished out four assists and made four steals.
Cameron Byrd tallied nine points, two rebounds, three assists and five steals.
Kameron Underwood posted six points, five boards, two assists and two steals.
Kevin Simmons had four boards, two assists and a steal while Seth Schilling grabbed two boards and made two steals. Tyler Winstead added four boards and Gage Tervalon grabbed a rebound.
Pine captures victory over Pope John Paul II
Pine’s Raiders made some big plays down the stretch in a 59-54 win against Pope John Paul II in a District 10-2A contest held Tuesday, Jan. 24 on the road.
The Raiders led 48-33 in the third, but the Jaguars came back to tie the game at 54-54.
But Pine went back in front when Ty Galloway knocked down a 3-pointer to make it 57-54.
Then Christian Warren made a steal and hit the layup to make it the 59-54 final.
Galloway led the Raiders with 19 points and he drained five 3-pointers.
Galloway was one of four double-digit scorers for the Raiders.
Warren posted 13 points while Jordan Anderson posted 11 and Trey Cooper had 10. Anderson hit three 3-pointers while Warren knocked down one.
Dillon Morris recorded six points on a pair of threes.
Bowling Green defeated by East Rankin Academy
Bowling Green School suffered a 70-53 setback to East Rankin Academy in a home game, Tuesday Jan. 24.
Three Buccaneers scored in double figures, led by Jonathan Smith, who posted 12 points. Kenny Robertson tallied 11 while Connor Comeaux had 10. Robertson and Comeaux hit two 3-pointers each. Austin Reedy posted seven points, which included a 3-pointer, while Lync Sharp hit a 3-pointer for his three points and C.J. Smith and Josh Boughton added two points apiece.
Bowling Green loses to Centreville Academy
Bowling Green School lost to Centreville Academy, 62-56, in a District 5AAA game that took place Monday, Jan. 23 on the road.
Kenny Robertson was the Buccaneers’ leading scorer with 20 points.Jonathan Smith and Austin Reedy were also in double figures. Smith put up 13 points and Reedy had 10. Reedy knocked down a pair of 3-pointers. Connor Comeaux tallied six points while Sammy Graves had three and Da’Marcus Fland and Lync Sharp added two each. Comeaux was good on a 3-pointer.
Bowling Green falls to Columbia
Bowling Green school suffered a 62-29 loss to Columbia Academy on Friday, Jan. 20 in a contest held on the road.
Kenny Robertson led the Buccaneers with 15 points, which included a 3-pointer.
Tez Smith posted four points while Connor Comeaux and Drew Wagner put up three each.
C.J. Smith and Da’Marcus Fland added two each. Comeaux and Wagner each hit a 3-pointer.

Valerie Page led the Lady Eagles in scoring with 14 points. She also grabbed three rebounds, dished out two assists, made four steals and blocked a shot.
Celeste Crowe posted six points, grabbed six boards, had five assists and three steals.
Alaina McClelland put up four points, a rebound, an assist and two steals.
Allison Forbes recorded three points, four rebounds and an assist.
Katelyn McCain had two points, a rebound and a steal. Kelci Freeman tallied two points and two boards.
Kristen Keaton finished with a point, two rebounds and an assist. Kayleigh Wheat added a board and two steals while AnnaBella Seal pulled down two boards and made a steal and Ayrianna Culpepper grabbed a rebound and blocked a shot.
