April Franchesca DiFabrizio, 48, born on Dec. 15, 1968, in Charleston, W.Va., passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at her residence in Covington.

The sweetest smile and laughter like sunshine in our day. A mother’s precious treasure suddenly left our life today. Talent with creativity a wondrous gift she had loved making people happy now gone and love ones sad. Always had far-reaching vision’s and many facet’s, she was a gem. The life she so traveled shattered heartbreak, we mourn her end.

She was charmed and loved working aboard, “The S.S. Monterrey,” its maiden voyage leaving New York, Panama Canal, California, and Hawaii was their home base. Had many friends in San Francisco working at Fisherman’s Wharf until the earthquake in 1989. She returned to New Orleans found herself working on the Mississippi Queen Cruise lines traveling on the Mississippi River to Minnesota. She was a surgical tech and she worked in several hospitals. April was a lovely person her heart was her best part.

Survivors include loving mother April Bersin of Madisonville; aunts, Eleanor Ringel of West Virginia, and Alice Kerner of California; special friend, Art Riley; her lovely cats, Lucy and Daisy; and cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her twin brother, Nicholas Michael DiFabrizio, and her father, Dennis Michael DiFabrizio.
