Richardsontown could see some water outages

Bogalusa public works director James Hall advises residents in the Richardsontown neighborhood that the city is starting on an $800,000 project to replace all water lines in that part of Bogalusa.

Hall said although the project will ultimately be a good thing, as the new lines go in and the changeover takes place, water will have to be closed off to different sections of the neighborhood in turn.

“We’re getting it lined up right now,” he said Monday morning. “And it’s about a five-month job.”

Hall advised people in the area to call 985-732-6213 if their water has been off for a period of time.
