Lady Bucs softball comes up short to Centreville

Bowling Green came up short to Centreville Academy, 3-2, in a softball game at home Monday.
The teams played five scoreless innings, as all of the scoring took place in the sixth.
Centreville tallied three runs in the sixth and Bowling Green countered with two, but could get no closer.
The Lady Bucs had three hits — all singles.
Cailee Fruge, Hannah Creel and Allie McCain all had one hit for the Lady Bucs.
McCain and Jayden Jenkins produced the RBIs.
Fruge and Cass Spears scoored a run each for Bowling Green.
Madelyn Burch started and pitched four shutout innings of no-hit ball with six strikeouts. Creel allowed three runs (two earned) in two innings on two hits with two strikeouts and a walk.
Bowling Green will be back in action at home Monday when the Lady Bucs host Central Private School.
