AARP Bogalusa Chapter 4032 will return from summer vacation this week, and start back to its third Thursday of the month regular meeting schedule.

The September meeting will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Washington Parish Council on Aging’s Bogalusa Senior Center, located at 603 Willis Ave. in Bogalusa.

The busy agenda will include the candidates for judge in 22nd District Court, Division E, Jay Adair and William Burris; and Division H, Reggie Laurent and Alan Zaunbrecher. The meet and greet for the judge candidates is in cooperation and partnership with the Washington Parish Council on Aging.

A representative from Humana is also scheduled to talk about the Medicare open enrollment program. Some members may be interested in the “Silver Sneakers” health and fitness program, and the chapter has also invited Stewart Parker of the Bogalusa YMCA.

Finally, the chapter will discuss and plan for the National Voter Registration Day, scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 26. National Voter Registration Day helps voters navigate registration requirements.
