Lots of ways to help make BBHF great

The Daily News would like to thank all who have or are continuing to change the long-held negative image of Bogalusa into a positive one by volunteering for the Bogalusa Blues and Heritage Festival. Now in its sixth year, festival organizers have had that goal in mind from year one, 2012. And they’ve succeeded.
Now when people think of Bogalusa, they often think of top-notch musicians laying down their best licks and jumping in with others to do the same, scrumptious food, quality arts and crafts, and truly welcoming people.
The Kid’s Zone provides a wealth of educational and experiential opportunities, as well. And children up to 12 years old get in free.
People regularly travel from across the country, and, in fact, from around the world to attend the festival. So the economic impact is felt for miles around the city.
We encourage participation of all sorts for the Bogalusa Blues and Heritage Festival. If you don’t have the time or wherewithal to volunteer, you don’t have to. You can support the BBHF being an art or food vendor, or by teaching children something in the Kids’ Zone, or by simply attending and having a good time in the midst of the great music.
