Doyle Mizell

Mr. Doyle Mizell, born on May 3, 1933, in Washington Parish, and a
lifelong resident of Bogalusa, passed away Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, at Resthaven Living Center in Bogalusa, at the age of 84.
Mr. Doyle Mizell enjoyed his hobbies of hunting, and fishing. He was employed by the Bogalusa Paper Mill for 42 years.
He was survived by his children, Richard Doyle “Rickey” Mizell, Jeannie Bergeron and Charles Allen Mizell; step-daughter, Treasure and Eddie Adams; daughter-in-law, Veda Lewis; sisters, Barbara Mizell Williams, Hazel Saunders and Virginia Nelson; brother, Mickey Mizell; and by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death his wife of 34 years, Joyce Galloway Mizell; parents, Marvin and Addie Crockett Mizell; brother, Kenneth Wayne Mizell; son, Kenny Mizell; grandson, Jason Mizell; and stepson, Gene Lewis.
Visitation was held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Tuesday, Dec. 5, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Funeral services were in Funeral Home Chapel at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Steve Dickson officiating. Interment followed at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Bogalusa.
Pallbearers were Rickey Mizell, Charles Mizell, Bryant Bergeron, Robbie Crain, Cody Blackwell, and Charles Blackwell Jr.
