Franklinton’s girls and Varnado’s boys basketball teams are competing in tournaments this week.
The Lady Demons are competing in the Slidell High School Tournament that takes place tomorrow and Saturday.
Franklinton is playing Covington tomorrow afternoon at 4:30 p.m. in the first game of a doubleheader. Slidell and Salmen will follow.
The Lady Demons have two games set for Saturday.
The first one is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. against Slidell. It is the third of five games set for that day.
The Lady Demons also play in the final game of the tournament, which is set for 6:30 p.m., against Kentwood.
In Covington, Varnado’s boys are playing in the Northlake Christian School Basketball Round Robin beginning tomorrow and running through Saturday.
A trio of games are set for each day. The first two days, games begin at 4:30 p.m. and are scheduled to tip off every 75 minutes.
Varnado plays in the first game the first two days — against St. Charles Catholic tomorrow and Pope John Paul II on Friday.
Saturday’s action will get going at 1 p.m. with the final game set to get underway at 3:30 p.m.
Varnado is playing in the 3:30 p.m. game against Northlake Christian.
