Joseph Freeman

Joseph Junior Freeman, 76, passed away on Dec. 18, 2017, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington. He was a resident of Bogalusa, and a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Cotton Freeman of Bogalusa; one son, Tyrone Freeman (Tracey) of Bogalusa; step-son, Timmy Corkern of Texas; brothers, Carl Freeman of Covington, Steve Freeman of Bogalusa; sisters, Ann Hill of Pine, Bobby Sue Varnado of Bogalusa, Sheila Hall of Bogalusa, and Evie McNeese of Covington; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by a step-son, Todd Corkern; his parents, Alvie and Odie Mae Manning Freeman; and brother, Don Freeman.

Visitation will be held in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Friday, Dec. 22, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.p. and will continue on Saturday, Dec. 23, from 8 a.m. until time for services in the chapel starting at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Pounds Cemetery. The Rev. Bryan Dunn will officiate.
