Barbara Lambert

Barbara Ann Lambert passed away on Jan. 1, 2018, at Riverside Hospital in Franklinton, at the age of 82.
She was born Aug. 8, 1935. Her and her husband were longtime owners of Lambert’s Grocery and Market and Lambert’s Fish House in Washington Parish. She was a longtime member of Pine First Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Roger (Libby) Stephens of Pine; two daughters, Tammy Lambert of Pine, and Phyllis Lambert of Bogalusa; two step-daughters, Shirley (Larry) Welch of Pine, and Paula Lambert of Meridian, Miss.; three grandchildren, Staci Stuart of Pine, Corey (Amanda) Stephens of Pine, and Daché Passman of Orlando, Fla.; seven great-grandchildren, Zachary Brown of Pine, Seth Brown of Pine, Haley Stephens of Pine, Shane Stuart of Pine, Trent Stephens of Pine, Connor Stephens of Pine, and Andrew Stephens of Pine. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded by her husband of 49 years, Jim S. Lambert; her parents, Percy and Fannie Powell; one son, Jimmy Dale Lambert; three brothers, Frederick Powell, Albert Powell, and Reuben Powell; and three sisters, Gertrude Hebert, Nancy Stevens, and Iris Stephens.
Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Thursday, Jan. 4, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m., with Elder David Easterling and Elder Richard Magee officiating. Interment will follow at Pine First Baptist Church Cemetery in Pine. Pallbearers will be Corey Stephens, Seth Brown, Percy Hebert, Zach Brown, David Stanford and Walt Seal.
