Richard “Ricky” Turman Moore, age 73, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018 at his residence in Bogalusa, La. He was a member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church. He retired from Illinois Central Railroad with 36 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Pam Breland Moore of Bogalusa, La.; a daughter, Elesha Emmay Moore McCarty (Paul) of Hattiesburg, Miss.; two sons, Richard Kent Moore (Shannon) of Bogalusa, La., and Lane Alston Moore (Laci) of Shreveport, La.; a sister, Roberta “Bobbye” Eugenia Moore of Bogalusa, La.; eight grandchildren: Ethan Colter McCarty (Sarah), Logan Connor McCarty, Hannah Marie Moore, Savannah Emmay McCarty, Liam Sawyer Grayson McCarty, Justin O’Neal Moore, Alston Lee Moore, and RayleAnn Moore; a great-grandchild, Coulter Evans McCarty.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Owen Moore and Jean Marie Alston Moore, his grandparents, Alfred Henry Moore and Exie Miriam Moore, and also his grandparents that raised him in Bogalusa, Edward Turman Alston and Emmay Pruett Alston.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation will continue at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, Jan. 15, 2018 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. with Bro. Pete Underwood and Bro. Jarrod Dawes officiating. Interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.

Active Pallbearers will be, Eddie Stroud, Larry Hunt, Robert McGehee, Gary Magee, Larry Breland, Jr., Brian Stewart, Chad Sheridan, and Richard Creel. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Mike Breland, Matt Breland, Jeff Breland, Billy Lott, Ovett Branch, and Jimmy Casanova.
