Charles Sullivan

Charles Franklin Sullivan, 85, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, at his residence in Thomas. He was born on Oct. 8, 1932 in Springfield, Ohio. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his children, Vickie Lynn Millien of Thomas, Rhonda Kay Smith (Blandon Vernon) of Bogalusa, Charles Randall Sullivan (Cathy Ellen) of Alford, Fla., Ernest Daniel Sullivan of Alford, Robin Rudell Talley (Cecil “Butch”) of Bogalusa, Charlene Diane Dean (Paul Eugene) of Apollo Beach, Fla., and David Wayne Sullivan (Kelly Lynn) of Statesboro, Ga.; a sister, Arlene Francis Harris of Mt. Washington, Ky.; and a brother, James Richard Sullivan of Old Town, Fla.; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by a daughter, Carla Jane Sullivan; and his parents, Roy Richard Sullivan and Ruby Rudell Wells Sullivan.

Visitation was held at New Life United Pentecostal Church, located at 1600 Jefferson St. in Bogalusa, on Thursday, Jan. 25, from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. Visitation will continue at New Life United Pentecostal Church on Friday, Jan. 26, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Wesley Quave and the Rev. Travis Houston officiating. Interment will follow at American Legion Post #24 Veterans Cemetery in Ponemah Cemetery, with military graveside services by the American Legion Post 24.
