Billy Joe Spencer, 74, passed away on Jan. 25, 2018, at his residence. He was a member of First Pentecostal Church here in Bogalusa.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Virginia Hunt Spencer of Bogalusa; sons, Joe Doyle Spencer of Greensburg, Duel Jenkins of Bogalusa, and Chuck Jenkins of Bogalusa; daughters, Tracy Brewer of Montpelier, and Mary Spencer Williams of Greensburg; sister, Judy Smith of Franklinton; stepsisters, Peggy Bates of Bogalusa, Mary Mizell of Bogalusa, and Judy Brumfield of Franklinton; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Eloise Spencer; and a grandson, Todd Clayton Brewer.

Visitation will be held at the First Pentecostal Church on Highway 21 on Monday, Jan. 29, from 9 a.m. until the service time at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Travis Houston will officiate.
