The LHSAA boys basketball playoffs are underway and three local teams begin their postseason runs tonight.

Mt. Hermon, Franklinton and Varnado are playing their first-round games.

Mt. Hermon, which made the Class B playoffs as the No. 10 seed, is the only local team opening the playoffs at home. The Yellow Jackets are hosting 23rd-seeded Lacassine at 6:30 tonight.

Franklinton is the 31st-seeded team in Class 4A and the Demons are on the road against second-seeded Bossier tonight at 7 p.m.

Varnado is in the Class 1A playoffs, and tonight, the 23rd-seeded Wildcats are traveling to play No. 10 Jonesboro-Hodge at 6 p.m.
