Pine Raiders split doubleheader

Pine’s Raiders split a doubleheader with Pope John Paul II in District 9-2A play at home on March 28.
The opener was a 6-5 loss.
Pine captured the second game, 5-0, led by the pitching of Will Adams, who threw a complete game no-hitter.
Adams posted 11 strikeouts and seven walks in the no-hit shutout.
The Raiders’ offense posted four hits and took advantage of five Jaguars errors that led to three unearned runs.
Kendall Sheridan, Coby Sheridan, Cory Barber and Blaine Polk all had one hit.
Kendall Sheridan and Coby Sheridan scored a run each. Barber tallied two runs. Polk drove in two runs and scored a run.
