Mr. Anthony Joseph Mumphrey Jr., of Chalmette, born on April 13, 1945 in New Orleans, to the late Willie Mae T. Bradbury and the late Anthony Francis Mumphrey, passed away at age 72 on April 6, 2018, in Franklinton.

From 1966 to 1968, Anthony served in the U.S. Navy in the Vietnam War. Anthony was the partner of Dorothy Hyland.

He is survived by his sons, Anthony J. Mumphrey III, Aaron C. Mumphrey, Andre F. Mumphrey, and Adam J. Mumphrey; and many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. He also leaves behind his adored dogs, BellaRose, Sheeba and Buddy.

Anthony will be laid to rest at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, located in Slidell, on Friday, April 13, at 1:30 p.m.
