Former FHS player selected 1st-team all-state

Copiah-Lincoln Community College sophomore catcher C.J. Estave is a first-team all-state player in the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges.
The 2016 Franklinton High School graduate had a solid season for the Wolves.
This season, Estave hit .370 with two home runs and 23 RBIs. Estave recorded a .489 on-base percentage and slugged .529.
Estave scored 36 runs. He doubled nine times and tripled once. Estave also swiped 12 bases in 14 attempts.
Estave’s solid overall average, on-base percentage and slugging were even higher in conference play.
Estave posted a .455 average to go with a .561 OBP and .652 slugging percentage in league games.
During conference play, Estave hit a pair of homers, drove in 16, scored 25 runs and was successful in 10 of his 12 stolen base attempts.
Estave, who walked nine times in conference play, struck out just four times in league play.
This season, Co-Lin posted a 20-21 record.
