Evelyn Quinnie Lyngstad Williams Hall, 72, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018, at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital in Bogalusa.

She was born in New Orleans on Aug. 19, 1945, and grew up at 244 Vinet St. in Jefferson. Evelyn was a creative, fun-loving, outdoor person who loved to dance and loved being with nature. Evelyn would often say her greatest accomplishments were her five children, 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by four daughters, Karen (Joe) Wheat of Bogalusa, Joy (Jimmy) Martin of Thomas, Rhonda Williams Beall of Stateline, and Victoria (Jody) Cox of Bogalusa; a son, Otha “Mike” Williams of Thomas; two sisters, Lorraine Martin of Mobile, Ala., and Theresa Karson of Georgia; a special aunt, Iola (Alfred) Grass of Metairie; 13 grandchildren, Glen (Bethany) Seal of Pine, Lee (Evelyn) Applewhite of Varnado, Brittany Applewhite of Pine, Hope Williams of Thomas, Liza (Josh) Forbes of Brandon, Miss., Dylan Martin of Thomas, Cody (Emily) Beall of Sandy Hook, Miss., Stony (Staci) Beall of Stateline, Eron Williams of Lake Charles, Levi Cox of Bogalusa, Tristian Cox of Ferriday, Kayla Mutz of Georgia, and Lauren (Eric) Wheat McDaniel; 16 great-grandchildren; and also survived by other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Hall; her mother, Vera Mae Sanders Capers; her father, KJell Oddvar Lyngstad; a special granddaughter, Dancie Jo Cox; a grandson, River Cox; and a great-granddaughter, Alisa Williams.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Thursday, June 28, from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. Visitation will continue at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Chapel on Friday, June 29, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.. Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Harold Gaddy officiating.

Interment will follow at Acey’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be grandsons, Glen Seal, Lee Applewhite, Cody Beall, Stony Beall, Dylan Martin, and Eron Williams. The honorary pallbearer will be Tristian Cox.
