Randy Sandifer

Randy “Pounds” Sandifer passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018, at Brookside Rehab Center in Bogalusa, at 62 years old. He was born on July 4, 1956, in Bogalusa, where he was a longtime resident.

He is survived by his two sons, Shane (Lori) Sandifer of Franklinton, and Byron (Amanda) Sandifer of Bogalusa; three daughters, Brandy Davis of Bogalusa, Briana Sandifer of Bogalusa, and Braelyn Sandifer of Sun; two brothers, Johnny (Dorraine) Pounds of Denham Springs, and Bobby Sandifer of Texas; one sister, Tammy Sandifer Rau of Montana; his father, Robert Sandifer of Montana; five grandchildren, Drew Sandifer of Bogalusa, McKayla Sandifer of Bogalusa, Mason Sandifer of Bogalusa, Ronnie Galloway of Bogalusa, and Brody Sandifer of Bogalusa; and one great-grandchild, Avery-Kate Sandifer of Bogalusa. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Myra Nell Pounds; his grandparents, Clinton and Mary Ruth Hathorne; and one brother, Ricky Hathorne.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, July 26, at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home in Bogalusa, LA from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery in Bogalusa. The Rev. Chad Jenkins will officiate.
