Earl Brumfield Sr.

Mr. Earl K. Brumfield Sr. was born to the late Mr. Albert and Rosia Brumfield, on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 1948, in Mt. Hermon. He departed his earthy life on Tuesday, July 24, 2018, with his devoted wife Betty by his side at Riverside Medical Center.

Earl was joined in holy matrimony to Betty Brumfield on Dec. 24, 1993, in Tangipahoa. He attended Vernon High School. Earl enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his wife and family.

Earl was preceded in death by his wonderful mother, Mrs. Rosia Brumfield; a faithful father, Mr. Albert Brumfield; three brothers, Rayfus, Oscar and Billy Brumfield; two sisters, Gierell Dyson and Jeanette Jackson; one stepdaughter, Bernadine Robinson; one stepson, Larry Robinson; and one step-grandson; Corey Robinson.

Earl leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted wife who was his caretaker, Betty P. Brumfield; three sons, Earl (Phyllis) Brumfield Jr. of Kentwood, Bobby (Tina) Brumfield of Baton Rouge, and Rico (Maka) Brumfield of Tamuning, Guam; two stepsons, Richard (Felicia) of Houston, Texas, and special stepson, Anthony Robinson of Franklinton; two daughters, Theresa (Cedric) Manning of Franklinton, and Venetris Marshall of Loranger; two stepdaughters, one special stepdaughter, Augustine (Joseph) Tubias of Tangipahoa, and Sharon Strickland of Longview, Texas; two sisters, Frankie and Beckadine, both of Mt. Hermon; two brothers, Albert and Willis, both of Mt. Hermon; 26 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, and nephews.

The visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 4, from 9 a.m. until the time of the service, which will be 11 a.m. at Mageeā€™s Temple Church of God in Christ, with Supt. Cecealine Tate, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Plainview Cemetery.
