Every Washington Parish football team is in action this week as the MAIS teams begin their regular seasons and the LHSAA squads play in scrimmages.

The local MAIS teams, Ben’s Ford Christian School and Bowling Green School, are getting their regular seasons under way this Friday.

Ben’s Ford is at home facing New Orleans Home School. Bowling Green takes to the road to face Park Place Christian Academy. Both games begin at 7 p.m.

The four LHSAA teams are competing in scrimmages on Thursday and Friday.

On Thursday, Franklinton hosts Live Oak at 5:30 p.m. and Bogalusa is traveling to Fontainebleau with the scrimmage set to begin at 6 p.m.

On Friday, Varnado is at home and plays against Livingston Collegiate at 7 p.m. Pine is on the road and faces Jewel Sumner.

The LHSAA teams are playing in a jamboree at Pine on Aug. 24 and begin the regular season the following week.
