Steven Moody

Steven L. Moody, a native and lifelong resident of Bogalusa, died at his residence on Friday morning, Sept. 7, 2018, at the age of 85. He was a veteran in the United States Navy, serving in the Korean War on the U.S.S. Princeton.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Sandra Briese Moody; his son, Scott (Brooke) Moody of Franklinton; his daughter, Dawn (Robert) Creech of Prairieville; four grandchildren, Jessica Moody of Baton Rouge, Julia Moody of Angie, Amanda Moody of Pineville, and Reagan Moody of Oxford, Miss.; three great-grandchildren, Jayce Massey of Baton Rouge, and Britton Scott Moody of Bogalusa, and Davie-Lynne Disotell of Angie; and one brother, Mike Seal Moody of Bogalusa. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lamar and Vida Moody; two brothers, Lamon Moody and Jewel Moody; and his sister, Madleine Walters.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, Sept. 9, at Superior Avenue Baptist Church at 1 p.m., and will continue until the memorial service begins at 2 p.m. The Rev. Clay Norwood will officiate.
