Pine’s Raiders suffered a 38-6 loss to Amite in Thursday’s District 9-2A game held at home.
The Raiders trailed 19-0, but Jordan Anderson intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown to make it a 19-6 game at halftime.
Adrianuen Johnson ran 13 times for 45 yards.
Logan Temples threw for 68 yards with all of the yardage to Markell Cotton.
“We’ve got to move on and get back on the winning track,” Pine coach Bradley Seal said. “We had an opportunity. We had the ball on the 2-yard line. We feel like if we score, we could be down 19-14 going into halftime and make a game of it.”
Pine is 3-3 overall and 1-2 in league play.
The Raiders travel to Independence on Friday.
Amite is 5-1 and entered the week second in Class 2A in the Louisiana Sports Writers Association poll.
The points were the first Amite has allowed in two weeks.
