Varnado’s Wildcats collected their first victory of the season with a 59-0 win over St. Martin’s Episcopal in a District 8-1A road contest Friday.
Korterrius Mingo ran nine times for 120 yards.
Zantonio Peters had 107 yards on eight carries.
Kennis Loper posted 85 yards on four attempts.
Caleb Allen recorded 87 yards on five carries.
Jaylen Peters and Zantonio Peters scored two touchdowns each.
Jep Bonnette, Allen and Loper all had one touchdown.
Varnado improved to 1-5 overall and 1-1 in league play. The Wildcats will be back in action Thursday, Oct. 18 with a home district game against defending Class 1A state champion West St. John.
West St. John is 5-2 overall and 2-0 in district play. West St. John defeated Covenant Christian Academy, 44-18, last week.
