Julie Young Parker passed away Nov. 9, 2018. She was born in Virginia but moved to Louisiana as an infant and lived in St. Tammany and Washington parishes.

Julie loved people and believed in helping others. Two of her favorite hobbies were fishing and motorcycle riding.

She was the daughter of the late Jacqueline and Rollend Young; the mother of Amy Hand and Kerri Sticker; and the sister of Rollenda Young Camp and Cindy Murphy. She was a grandmother of five, Gage, Lucas, Shane, Matthew, and Jacob; great-aunt to Aubrey; and aunt to Coty.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 17, at First Baptist Church in Sun. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., with the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow at the First Baptist Church Cemetery.
