Wanda Hurd

Wanda Jane Hurd passed away Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 11, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital, at the age of 64.
She was a faithful member of Magnolia Missionary Baptist Church in Covington. Wanda was also a member of ABA Women’s Auxiliary Group. She was a graduate of Grace King High School, and then went on to graduate from Southeastern Louisiana University. Wanda was a substitute teacher for many years.
She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Carlos Hurd of Covington; one daughter, Kelly Hurd Fodor and her husband Alton of Covington; two brothers, Ronald Rollins of Sun, and Jason Rollins of Gonzales; two sisters, Desiree Wetzler of Bogalusa, and Sheila McCormick of Gonzales; three grandchildren, Zoey Fodor, Mason Fodor and Leah Fodor; and also loved by many nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Peggy Rollins.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend services at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Saturday, Dec. 15, at 1 p.m. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the service time at 1 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Pete Bennett and the Rev. Lester Reins.
Interment will immediately follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Bogalusa.
