Robert Young

Robert Earl Young, 70, passed away on Friday, Dec. 21, 2018, at his residence in Bush. Earl was born in Bogalusa on Jan. 21, 1948. He graduated from Covington High School and was a lifelong resident of Bush.
Earl was an avid farmer, hunter, and fisherman who loved to cook for his friends and family. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Mosher Hill Hunting Club. Earl was known for his generosity, for making people smile, and he was truly one of a kind.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his daughters, Jenni Young of Bogalusa, Jessi Young (Jason) Pounds of Bogalusa, and Ali Young (Trent Toups) of Bush; one brother, Jim (Joan) Young of La Vernia, Texas; one sister, Darlene Young (Tommy) Palliser of Covington; one grandchild, Lucas Pounds; one nephew, Michael (Carrie) Young of Simi Valley, Calif.; and nieces, Christy Young (Brad) McCurry of Waldron, Ark., Kelly Palliser (Byron) Kinler of Tomball, Texas, and Sara Palliser (Patrick) Sharp of Covington.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Young; parents, Walter and Hazel (Taylor) Young; and one brother, Dr. Russell Young.
Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 27, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. at Bagnell and Son Funeral Home, located at 75212 Lee Road in Covington, with Deacon Louis Ogle officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
