Willie “W.V.” Adams Jr., 84, of Baton Rouge peacefully passed away on the evening of Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2018.

Visitation was at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Friday, Dec. 28, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., and will continue Saturday, Dec. 29, from 10 a.m. until the service at noon.

He was born on Dec. 13, 1934, to Vernon Sr. and Olga Simmons Adams, who both preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death is his high school sweetheart and wife of 60 years, Lennie Estelle Adams; his only brother, Elton “Boots” Adams; and a great-grandson, Titus Otts.

He graduated with a Masters degree from LSU, where he also worked for 37 years before retiring. Many knew him as “Doc” or “Mr. Fix It.”

He is survived by his sister-in-law, Elton Jean Adams; three nephews, Bryan, Steve, and Scott along with their families; four daughters, Diane Doublin (Steve), Tammy Wells, Kim Kunefke(Brandon), and Kristie Adams; 10 grandchildren, Jamie Otts, Clint Vallotton, Laine Perry, Shelly and John Wells, Kolby, Gracie, Brady Kunefke, Lauren Adams, and Brennan White; 10 great-grandchildren and two on the way.
