Franklinton’s T.Y. Pope scored 32 points that included a 3-pointer and Albert Browhaw made a pair of clutch free throws in a 55-52 victory over Amite on the road Wednesday.
Browhaw stepped to the free-throw line with the Demons up 53-52 and 15 seconds on the clock. Browhaw made both attempts from the charity stripe to put Franklinton up 55-52, and then the Demons’ defense kept Amite from scoring in the three-point victory. Browhaw tallied six points.
Kian Conerly posted 12 points. He made a pair of 3-pointers.
Duke Bell recorded five points in the victory.
