Laura Mae Breland Pinter, 83, passed away at her residence in Bogalusa on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019. She was born on Dec. 7, 1935, in Bogalusa. She was a caregiver to many family and friends throughout the years. She was also a member of Terrace Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Isiah Breland; her mother, Jennie Wells; her children, Susan Gayle Ard, Douglas Henry Creel, Earl Ray Creel, and an infant son Leroy Ikerd; her siblings, Billy Ray Breland, Curtis Breland, Buford “Blue” Breland, Betty Sue Breland, Helen Breland, Bob Breland, Hubert Breland as well as four other siblings; and great-grandchildren, Gayle Rae Smith, and Shaena Leann Branch.

Ms. Pinter is survived by her children, Betty June Mixon (Rex Sr.) of Abita Springs, Beverly Holmes (Joe) of Waveland, Miss.; sons-in-law, Durwin Sorrell and Danny Branch Sr., Dale Roy Creel of Arkansas; daughters by love, Dawn Ard, and Lisa Creel; a special cousin, Mildred Wells; grandchildren, Laura Gayle McClain, Beonka Wagner, Heath Mixon, Erica Mixon, Angelia Ard (Alton Cooper), Melissa Keating (Christopher Keating), Jason Ard (Angie Ard), Tammy Branch, Crystal Branch Williams, Danny Branch Jr., Matthew Sorrell, Peyton Sorrell, Shanda St. Pierre, Kay Dominquez, Nicole Brown, Ricky Creel, Shannon Creel, Buford Creel, Talmadge Creel, Jessica Creel, Amy Pollen, Amanda Creel, Olivia Creel, Sadie Creel, Chrissy Creel, Chad Creel; Great grandchildren Brittany Pinter, Jacob Ard, Courtney Kennedy, Matthew Sorrell, Daylen Ard (Chasity Ard), Kenadee Ard, Amaya Davis, Zachary Roberts, Cody Mixon, Bobo Glover, Little Rex, Robert “Rack” Keating, Caitlyn Penton, Kendal Williams, Willis “D.J.” Penton, Jeslyn Miller, Austin Cooper, Jessica Burch, Bradley Burch, Lilly Anthony, Skylar Drew, Ray Drew, Austin Hand, Scott Hand, Katie Bordes, Destiny Leglue, Haley Leglue, Lexa Leglue; and four great-great-grandchildren; numerous other children nieces and nephews, and special friend, Kevin Nielsen. Not to forget her very special pets: Zoie, Spongebob, and Coco!

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 19, from 10 a.m. until the service time of 2 p.m. at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home. The Rev. Greg Russell, and the Rev. William Pierce will officiate the service and interment will be in Ponemah Cemetery.
