Local baseball fans have a great opportunity too see all five LHSAA teams from Washington Parish competing on the same day in the same place on Friday, as Pine hosts the 2019 Washington Parish Jamboree.
Games will run every hour, starting at 3 p.m. and the final contest begins at 7 p.m.
The event gets under way at 3 p.m. with Pine facing Franklinton.
Mt. Hermon and Franklinton are next, followed by Mt. Hermon and Varnado at 5 p.m.
The 6 p.m. game features Varnado and Bogalusa, with Pine and Bogalusa capping off the jamboree.
Last season, Pine and Mt. Hermon made it to the regional round of the Class 2A and Class B postseasons respectively and Franklinton reached the bi-district round of the Class 4A playoffs.
