Ja’Juan Brister

Ja’Juan Djion’ Brister departed this life on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019. He was born April 1, 1995, in Bogalusa.
He was a 2014 graduate of Varnado High School, but attended Bogalusa High until his senior year.
Ja’Juan had a smile that was charming and friendly. He was very loving, kind-hearted and would give you his last. He also made sure that he kept a smile on everyone’s face that he loved.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his mother, Jacqueline (Raynis) Bridges; his father, John (Inga) Davis Foster Jr.; five sisters, Jonday Brister, Johntona Dillon, Kashmere Hill, Matekia Brister and Mikel Oree. He also had three brothers, Raynis Bridges Jr., John Foster and John’ Neilius Foster; and a devoted and loving girlfriend, Tierrika Hart, that Ja’Juan loved dearly. Ja’Juan’s grandparents are Ruthie Brister and Jack Brister and Glenda Faye Speights and John Foster Jr. Ja’Juan has two aunts, Antoinette Magee and Michelle Douglas; two uncles, Adrian Brister and Rafeal Levi. Ja’Juan had two nieces, Raynese Levi and Ra’Kel Myers; and two nephews, Rayden Myers and Thomas Magee Jr., that he loved and inspired as his own; and his nana, Aisha Lathan.
Ja’Juan was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Willie Mae Magee and Ora Stein Sartin; his great-grandfather, Attie Sartin; one aunt, DeShonda Foster; and a very special friend (brother), Derrick Magee; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at Bogalusa High School auditorium with Pastor Michael Oree officiating.
Interment will be in the Bogalusa Cemetery.
