Francis Robinson

Mother Francis G. Robinson was born March 2, 1938, to the union of Wesley Magee Sr. and Angie Magee. She was baptized at New Jerusalem Baptist Church.

She was a devoted wife, mother and a faithful church mother of Miracle Temple Pentecostal Church. On Nov. 16, 1957, Mother Francis was united to her beloved husband, Pastor John H. Robinson for 61 years, and to this union eight children were born: Michael R. (Depeth) Robinson Sr. of Franklinton, Toni (Terry) Martin of Osyka, Miss., Kenneth (Leachia) Robinson Sr. of Magnolia, Miss., Willene (Michael) Magee of Franklinton, Cheryl (Terrell) Brumfield of Franklinton, Vincent (Denise) Robinson Sr. of Summit, Miss., Denise (Richard) Johnson of Franklinton, and John (Lizzie) Robinson of Franklinton; and one beloved sister, Norma Lee Brumfield of Franklinton.

Mother Francis was preceded in death by her father, John Wesley Magee Sr.; mother, Angie Magee; four sisters, Lavon Crain, Ruthie Hewitt, Willie Mae Johnson and Vinnie Barnes; and three brothers, John Earl Magee, John David Magee and John Wesley Magee.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories and legacy of faith: her beloved husband, presiding Pastor John H. Robinson; her children; 19 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Norma L. Brumfield; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Visitation was Friday, March 8, at Crain and Sons Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

The funeral service will be Saturday, March 9, at 11 a.m. at Light House Pentecostal Church with Pastor Norman Robinson, pastor, and Bishop Andra Ginn officiating. Interment will be held at Wilson Cemetery.
