Gwendolyn Pope, a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, went to her eternal home on Tuesday, April 9, 2018. She was 58 years old.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories two sons, Cody Terry (Brandy) and Blake Barksdale; three daughters, Amber Pope (Marq), Tabitha Barksdale (Chuck), and Brittney Leggett (Chris); brother, Ken Pope; three grandkids, Ashton Verrett, Cain Terry and Jillian King; two nieces, Jennifer Pope and Rebecca Rood; and numerous aunts and uncles. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Gathering will be held at St. John Baptist Church, located at 417 St. John St. in Bogalusa (little white church behind Yo-Yo’s Mexican Restaurant on Superior Avenue) from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gloria and William Pope, and brother, Ronnie Pope.
