Jesse Weary

Jesse B. Weary was born on Aug. 7, 1947, to the late Jesse B. Weary Sr. and the late Etta Ruth Dungey in the Mt. Moriah community of Tylertown, Miss. He passed away peaceful into eternal life on Saturday May 18, 2019, with his wife by his side.
He worked as a self-employed painter for 30 years, and after Hurricane Katrina he secured employment at Archbishop Hannah High School and was a member of their maintenance crew for 11 years at which he retired.
He married the late Elaine Graves at the age of 19 and that union was blessed with a daughter, Leijuana Weary-Bickham of Franklinton.
He later married Terri Perkins and that union was blessed with three daughters, Ebony and Haley Perkins, both of Franklinton, and the late Kelly Perkins.
He joined Outreach FGBC in 2015 and where he was training as a deacon. He was an active member of the usher board and Men’s auxiliary until his transition.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife, Terri Perkins; three daughters, Leijuana (Clearance) Bickham, Ebony and Haley Perkins; and a special god-daughter, Cassie Thompson, all of Franklinton; two grandsons, Reginald (Natasha) Scott and Jacoby Ikeem Scott; one granddaughter, Kaleyah Bickham; one great-granddaughter, Peyton Scott; and a dear friend known as Uncle Fred.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse B. Weary Sr. and Etta Ruth Anders Dungey; his grandparents, Earnest and Ollie Mae Anders; a daughter, Kelly Perkins; and his great-grandmother whom he lived with as a child, Angeline Melissa Anders.
The funeral service will be held at Outreach Full Gospel Baptist Church on Saturday, June 1, at 11 a.m.
