Antone ‘Tony’ Lewis

Celebrating the life of Antone “Tony” Lewis. A beautiful creation of God was called to glory on June 2, 2019. Tony was the only son of Gloria Neal and the late William Pollard, born June 13, 1970, in Milwaukee, Wis.
Tony was baptized at Greater Salter A.M.E. Church in Bogalusa in 1972. He graduated from Hamilton High School in Milwaukee, where he sung in the choir and was a member of the Special Olympics.
He is survived by his mother, Gloria “Piggy” Neal and step-father, Johnnie Neal of Bogalusa; one niece, Michelle A. Perry of Dallas, Texas; two nephews, Alandice and Jonathan Perry of Milwaukee; six aunts, Linda Washington, Darlene Lewis, Ethel Morris, Juanita Warren, all of Bogalusa, Jennie (Mack) Curry of New Orleans, and Vivian Alexander of Milwaukee; two uncles, Robert Lewis of Bogalusa, and Jeffery Lewis of Slidell; favorite cousins, Fannie Magee and Joyce Keys of Bogalusa, and Emri Sartin of Baton Rouge; favorite aunt, Michelle Perry of Milwaukee; and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Pollard Jr.; sister, Vanessa Lewis Nimox; his grandparents, Volians Lewis Jefferson, Tillis Jefferson and Charlie Lewis; one aunt, Rev. Mary Ann Lewis Keys; and four uncles, Charles, John Earl, Cecil and Willie Lewis.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 15, at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa from 10 a.m. until noon, followed by the funeral services at noon, with the Rev. Willie Gauthier officiating.
