Clara Lauretta Wilson was peacefully called home on Oct. 24, 2019. Clara was born on Feb. 25, 1948, to the unity of Russell and Ethel Harvey Wilson, in Franklinton.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters, Jerrie (W.C.) Ladner of Lacombe, and Margaret Wilson of Georgia; four grandchildren, Keyosha Ski’ Ladner of New Orleans, Tevin Alexander Wilson, Quincy LeAndre Wilson, and Trinity Janelle “TJ” Wilson; two godchildren, Alexis Ladora Wilson of Georgia, and Mercedes Samone Wilson of Franklinton; one sister, Sherrie Hewitt of Franklinton; a very special longtime friend, Simarone Magee; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ramsey Jr.; her parents, Russell and Ethel Harvey Wilson; three brothers, Russell Jr., Terrie, and Arnold Wilson; four sisters, Victoria Butler, Elaine Dove, Etta Brumfield and Alpha Dean Wilson; two nieces, Evalda Lackings and Mary Dove; one nephew, James Wilson; and three great-nephews, Jalen, Oneal Warren Jr., and Nyger Magee.
Visitation will be held Saturday, Nov. 2, at Sweet Home Church in Franklinton, from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Elder Kevin Golden, pastor, will be officiating, and the eulogist will be Bishop Henry Earl Bell.
