The unofficial start to the basketball season will tip off for several local teams next week, as Varnado hosts the Washington Parish Jamboree on Tuesday, Nov. 12.
Four schools from Washington Parish are competing, including Varnado, Bogalusa, Franklinton and Pine.
The event will feature four games.
The action will tip off at 4 p.m. and the other three games are set to begin at 4:45 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
The jamboree will get underway with two games, beginning with Pine and Franklinton, followed by Varnado-Bogalusa.
Three of the teams reached the playoffs last season with Franklinton, Pine and Varnado reaching the bi-district round.
The next two contests will be boys games.
The first will be between Bogalusa and Franklinton, with Varnado-Pine after.
