Hicks houses to mark ribbon cutting

On Thursday, the Robert “Bob” Hicks Foundation will hold a ribbon cutting and unveiling ceremony to announce the selection of an architect and the start of Phase 1 of the restoration of the Hicks Historic Houses (HHH).
The ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on the front yards of the houses, 924 and 930-1/2 E. Robert “Bob” Hicks St. in Bogalusa.
The foundation invites all elected officials, parish organizations, churches, schools, community supporters, and all veterans of the 60s civil rights movement to the ceremony.
This project is being supported by an African American Civil Rights Grant from the Historic Preservation Fund administered by the National Park Service, Department of the Interior with the assistance of the Division of Historic, Office of Cultural Development, Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism.
