‘Fire Helpers’ need donors, toys

Santa’s Fire Helpers is a local organization that gives to the needy children who would otherwise not have Christmas. Santa’s Fire Helpers rely on donations and sponsorships to help make Christmas possible for the children.
They accept donations such as toys, coloring books, bicycles, tricycles, puzzles, etc. The organization also uses sponsorships to sponsor individual families.
Santa’s Fire Helpers would appreciate any donations, contributions and sponsorships to make Christmas possible for the children. Those who wish to sponsor or donate items can contact any of the following: Lisa Dearman at 985-246-0883, or Tutty at 985-205-2144.
The Santa’s Fire Helpers Christmas Party will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 24, at 5 p.m. at Washington Parish Fire Department District No. 7, located at 17380 Bill Booty Road in Bogalusa. To receive gifts, citizens must be present. Everyone is welcome to join.
Donations can be dropped off at the following locations: Bogalusa Fire Department, 200 Arkansas Ave.; Washington Parish Fire Department District No. 7, 17380 Bill Booty Road in Bogalusa; Gene’s Tire Center, 1939 Washington St. in Franklinton; or Fair City Truck Stop, 1800 Washington St. in Franklinton.
