Margie Faye Williamson, a native of Columbia, Miss., and a longtime resident of Bogalusa, passed away Sunday evening at her residence at the age of 77. She worked a long time, helping the teachers and students of the Bogalusa School System. She was also a member of the Elizabeth Sullivan Methodist Church in Bogalusa.
She is survived by her sons, James O. Goss “Bozo,” and Mark Goss, both of Bogalusa; daughter, Amber (Michael) Sonnenberg of Bogalusa; grandchildren, Randy (Candice) Goss of Hattiesburg, Miss., Bridgett Goss, Aspen Williams, Miles Sonnenberg, Jack Sonnenberg and Tyler Williams, all of Bogalusa; great-grandchild, Jayden Goss; brother, Thomas (Suzette) Ellis Jr. of New Iberia; sisters, Lucille Carter of Bogalusa, Ruby (Chuck) Adams of Bogalusa, and Thelma Fussell of Denham Springs. She is also survived by three special friends of the family, Crissy Mech, Lisa Nastasia and Mary Avera; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James O. Goss Sr.; second husband, Johnny B. Williamson; brothers, Harvey Leo Ellis, Elmer Ellis and Jimmy Ellis; and parents, Thomas and Tera Ellis Sr.
Funeral services will be held at Elizabeth Sullivan Memorial Methodist Church in Bogalusa on Thursday, Jan. 9, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Bill Moon and the Rev. James Moore officiating. Internment will follow in the Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa.
A visitation will be held at the church Thursday morning from 10 a.m. until the service time at 2 p.m.
