Luouanna Pigott Spikes transitioned from earthly existence on Feb. 16, 2020, at 4:05 p.m. from Our Lady of the Angels Hospital in Bogalusa.
She was born July 3, 1949, in Bogalusa, to the late Ernest R. “Boog” and Inez (Myers) Pigott. She attended and graduated from Wesley Ray High School.
She leaves to mourn her passing: her husband of 51 years, Leroy Spikes; and their three children and their spouses who will miss her presence, Felicia (Ryan I) Jefferson of Angie, Dominicia (Patrick) Morgan of Mansfield, Texas, and Ray (Jamekia) Spikes of Bogalusa. Her greatest joy came from their six grandchildren, Hope, Kelvin, DeAntrez, Ryann II, Kelsi and DeAntay. She is survived by four brothers, William (Stella), Bernard (Maricel), Irvin (Gwen), and Kenneth (Ella); four sisters, Doris (Charles) Jackson, Undrethia Moses, Debra (Andre(deceased)) Peters and Tracey (Regynold(deceased)) Robinson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Burome (Arletha) Brumfield, Montreal (Earnestine) Brumfield and Trinett (Derrick) McGowan were their blessing as godchildren. She is also survived by a special niece and nephew that they helped to raise as their own, Andre Peters (Angela) and Preshitta Peters; and a special great-nephew, Kyle “K.J.” Harry Jr.
Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 20, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home Chapel.
The funeral service is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 21, at noon at Wesley Ray United Methodist Church in Angie. The Rev. Terrence S. August will officiate. Interment will be at Wesley Ray Cemetery.
