Lemenda Rester Pope passed away on June 28, 2020, in Bogalusa, at 91 years old. She was born in Varnado on April 14, 1929.

She is survived by her girls, Tonia Howard and Kim Eisenhardt (Richard); her grandchildren, Josh Scroggs, Allie Harris (Drew), Tiffany Ledet (Adam), Colton Busby (Katie), Caleb Busby (Kimberly), Malarie Seal (Jeff), and Amanda Hobgood (Allison); and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Billy Wayne Rester (Jane) and Cecil Ray Rester (Holly); and a sister, Sylvia Hautala.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Pope; her parents, Cecil and Muriel Rester; and her daughter, Sandra Howard Busby.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home & Crematory in Bogalusa. There will be a private memorial service held at a later date.
